Wednesday we worked at the house in the morning and then went to the beach in the afternoon. We had some rain so we weren't sure ifwe would go to thebeach, but it worked out well. It was overcast, but still pleasant. There were some Haitians boys on the beach selling shells that they found. Most of bought one or two. Sheila also gave a dollar to one of them to climb up and get us a couple of coconut s. He then used his machete to first chop a portion off so that we could drink the milk, and then split it so that the coconut could be eaten. Oursupper was served on the beach.
Today we worked at the house. No electricity all day. We used a generator to do our work. Each day we have been without power completely or a brownout for at least a portion of the day.
Tonight we went for a walk and went up on the roof of the hospital to see the stars -wow! I also saw my first tarantula. We went looking for it, so that was ok.
