It was kind of sad to say goodbye to the team this morning. We are thankful we have the opportunity to stay, but it also seems strange to not be able to complete the trip with the others.
It was a very productive week. We worked and we were all tired. It was very satisfying to see the progress. Next saturday, a sa container will arrive with many supplies to fill our shelves. The following week, a medical team will arrive to inventory all the supplies in their new supply center.
Thursday, we had our chance for the "village experience", which we thoroughly enjoed. One elderly lady (she couldn't remember her age) told me that I was an angel from heaven! Of course, she was my favorite!
Yesterday, sonny climbed a coconut tree barefoot and knocked down some coconut s. I had worked with him both trips last time, so it was good to see him. As we walked back to the guesthouse he communicated to us that his wife had a baby that morning!! Rudy and went back to the hospital with our camera to take pictures and to congratulate the mother.
Today we are going eith hartzlers and walders and will stay overnight with walders and come back to bonne fin tomorrow evening.
Still having difficulty with pictures. Will keep trying. Maybe will have better connection down in Cayes.
