We have been back in Ohio for about 1.5 weeks. In some ways, it seems longer than that and in other ways it still seems odd. Rudy has been excited to be back at the gravel pit, spending time with the boys and to see all that happened in the last three months. I am enjoying my animals - goats and chickens, planting my early spring veggies and trying to remember where I put things those many weeks ago. It has been great to see family, though we haven't had an opprtunity to see all of Rudy's and we have not been with my family together yet. There is comfort in knowing we are close, though.
One of the best things - we have settled into enough of a routine to get back on schedule with our bible study. We have both missed that time together in His word. It has been hit and miss and studying on our own for a few weeks now.
Between the Bible study and the trips to Haiti, we can both say that we just really look at things differently. Hopefully, in time, we can look back and say the same thing - meaning that we have continued to grow, allowing God to continue to mold us and perfect us.
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world; but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." ~Romans 12:1-2
